Easter Weekend

Its finally spring. Although it doesn't feel like it with this Easter Snap. What's the Easter Snap you ask? The Easter Snap is when it gets cold right before the weekend of Easter. It never fails to happens. I can remember as a kid getting a new dress for Easter. Then when the Easter Snap came, I always ended up wearing a sweater to church.

Easter usually means a fun filled weekend. That usually includes lots of eating, being with you family and just having fun. I am so looking forward to this weekend. My plans include, going to church Sunday Morning. The colors my daughter and I are wearing are Ivory and Gold. Then after church I plan to go visit some friends. So I guess there goes the diet this weekend. I am not tripping though. I will just work out extra next week to make up for the weekend.

Happy Easter!!!

Catching Up

I haven't had time to blog in a while. However, that does not mean that the diva's life is any less exciting. Currently I am working on my diet and exercise. I have cut back my calorie consumption to 1300 calories a day. I also try to exercise 3 - 4 times a week for at least an hour. So far I am 7 lbs away from my first goal. I broke my big goal up into two smaller goals of 15lbs each. So that would mean I have lost 8 of the first 15. Yippee I am so excited!

I went to a party this past weekend with my size 11/12 House of Dereon Jeans on. Lets just say all eyez were on me. I had a blast dancing and having fun. The party was for the ex-wife of my soon be to ex-husband. Yes, that's what I said. And yes, she and I are cool. She was turning 40 and she was having a ball. My soon to be ex was there also. He was the bartender. He did have the decency to compliment me on my appearance. Hell, how could he not. I was looking hot! Don't mean to toot my own horn, but BEEP, BEEP!

He and I are cordial to each other although we are no longer together. I never can understand why people are so mad when they divorce or split up. Its not pretty, but it does not have to be ugly. Accept that things didn't work out and move on. What GOD has for you is for. When people come into your life, its for a season, a reason, or a lifetime. We have to learn to let season people and reason people be just that. That is just the way it is. When we try to make these folks permanent fixtures, that's when you have problems.

I hate the fact that my husband and I have decided to split up; however, I know that God has someone else who is waiting just for me.

Until next blog,
Hollywood Diva
